Good questions
There’ll be a full help centre when we open. Until then, here are the ones we hear most.
Do I need a prescription?
For prescription-only medicines, yes. Medicines marked POM-V need a prescription from a vet. Some flea, tick and worming treatments are marked POM-VPS, and a vet, pharmacist or SQP can prescribe those. Many others, marked NFA-VPS or AVM-GSL, don’t need a prescription at all.
How do I get one from my vet?
Just ask. Your pet needs to be under their care, and they may charge a fee for writing it. You can then take it to any vet practice or retailer that supplies veterinary medicines, including us.
How do I send it to you?
The easiest way is to ask your vet to email it to us directly. You can also post us the original paper prescription. We start checking it as soon as it arrives.
Which pets do you cover?
Dogs and cats, plus horses, rabbits, small pets, birds, reptiles and fish. If your vet has prescribed it, we’d like to help.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?
Not prescription medicines, sorry. The rules don’t allow online retailers in Great Britain to send veterinary medicines to Northern Ireland.
